Scroll down

Project Brief

Temporary Exhibition structure to house a Multimedia Dome Exhibition ‘Songlines’ at The Box in Plymouth from September 2021 to March 2022.

Project Detail

The Songlines Aboriginal Exhibition visiting The Box has been heralded as ground-breaking and is being delivered in partnership with the National Museum of Australia and The Australian High Commission.
The multimedia viewing dome tells a key part of the exhibition.  RSA have been commissioned to design a temporary exhibition structure to house the multimedia dome alongside providing support for the exhibition. Planning approval was granted in Spring 2021.

The design includes aluminium framing, tensile fabric with standardised materials to avoid material waste and promote construction efficiently.
Care was taken to ensure access for all and not to adversely impact the listed building setting of St Luke’s Church.
