Horticulture Building at Combe Pafford School

Project Brief
The building is a simple timber framed education classroom formed using natural materials including cedar boarding. A high level roof-light provides generous levels of natural light and contributes to its low energy ventilation strategy in helping reduce the artificial lighting demand. The building is highly insulated and constructed of robust materials to accommodate various day to day education uses. The projects natural materials extend out into the external growing areas including raised beds and other planting areas. The building is aging well and settling into its natural planted surroundings.
