A new low energy 4-bedroom residential dwelling located on the perimeter of Buckfast Abbey with views of the rolling countryside.
Project Detail
RSA have been commissioned to carry out the design of a new private residence located on a site which is currently occupied by an existing redundant and poorly constructed bungalow which has been slowly degrading over time.
The brief includes the designing a residential dwelling with a fit for purpose, well designed house.
The new 4 bedroom house is to make the most of the views to the north and west of the site. The design will provide far reaching views from the first floor terrace and seating area overlooking adjacent countryside
Construction will include high levels of natural light, air tightness insulation to minimise need for artificial heating with timber low energy construction.
The design will meet highest viable energy use and sustainability criteria. Car parking and storage space is included
